Apple Wallet and Google Wallet membership cards
Every member receives a digital card on their phone, generated automatically by membo.app when they join.
What the card shows
- The club's name, logo, colours, and a banner image if the club has one.
- The member's name, their tier (for instance "Junior" or "Lifetime member") and the validity date.
- A QR code (or barcode) the club scans to check the card, at the door of a venue or an event.
- On the back, the club's details and a link the club can change at any time, for instance to its next event.
What happens by itself
- On joining, the card arrives by email with an "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet" button. Without a Wallet, a web card does the same job.
- When the club changes something (colour, logo, link), every card updates on the phones, with no action from members.
- On expiry, the card stays visible but turns grey with "Expired" and a renewal link. As soon as the member renews, it gets its colours back.
- On renewal, the validity date updates on the existing card: nothing to reinstall.
Checking a card
The club has a scanner in its dashboard, usable from any phone: it reads the QR code and shows the member's name, tier and status, valid or expired. It can also record attendance at an event. Scanner-only access can be given to a volunteer or a contractor, without access to the member list.
Without Apple or Google
The web card opens in any browser, can be added to the home screen, and carries the same QR code.
